How CMG values your diamond
Diamond valuation is a craft, not a calculator. Every stone we receive is examined under 10x magnification by a trained gemologist, weighed on a calibrated diamond scale and graded against international master sets for colour and clarity.
We then price the stone against the latest Rapaport sheet and adjust for cut quality, fluorescence and current market demand for that exact size. The breakdown is shared with you on paper before any offer is finalised — you see exactly how your number was reached.
What we buy
- Solitaire diamond rings and engagement rings
- Diamond pendants, earrings, nose-pins and bracelets
- Diamond mangalsutras and necklaces
- Loose diamonds (certified and uncertified)
- Diamond-set gold and platinum jewellery
- Antique and inherited diamond pieces
Diamond jewellery — diamonds + gold valued separately
A common mistake is to sell a diamond ring as 'scrap gold' — losing the entire value of the stone. At CMG, every diamond-set piece is valued in two parts: the gold is XRF-tested live for its exact karat and weight, and the diamonds are removed (or valued in-setting) and graded separately. You receive the combined best price.
